The Chamber was established at a community meeting in 2012 noting the need to have a membership based association representing the direct needs of the business and indirect impact on the broader community. With a diverse range of stakeholders, there is a key focus to build relationships with the residents, Municipality and all business related sectors within the Chamber region.  The Chamber represents the area of Hoedspruit, and the broader Maruleng area. Speaking directly to local, provincial and national government, we are best placed to achieve inclusive engagement within its area of benefit.  Representations are widely respected within the context of relationships, interactive meetings and forums, and a range of events, where business and community issues are identified, and then presented for discussion and debate. We operate transparently under a ethos of participatory engagement to all stakeholders.The Chamber is affiliated to the Small Business Initiative (SBI), which represents the business interest of about 3000 business people in small, and medium enterprises in South Africa.

The Chamber is governed by a Constitution, upheld by a Committee and supported by a range of Sub-Committee groups, and task groups as and when required.
